A goal each from Evelyn Badu, Salamatu Abdulai, Rahama Jafaru and a brace from Doris Boaduwaa ensured that the Princesses made light work of their opponents. Having won the first leg 2-1 in Uganda, the Black Princesses only needed to avoid defeat in the return leg in order to go through to the next round.

The Black Princesses began the game on a strong note and opened the scoring in the 22nd minute by Evelyn Badu. Three minutes later their lead was doubled by Salamatu Abdulai. The first half ended with the 2-goal lead after series of missed chances by both sides. The Ugandans began the second half well and got a few chances of their own, including hitting the post.

The Princesses killed any hopes of a comeback with the 3rd goal from Rahama Jafaru in the 82nd minute, and winger Doris Boaduwaa finally grabbed her first, and Ghana's fourth, in the 87th minute. She got her brace in added time after the referee awarded Ghana a penalty in the 92nd minute, which she expertly converted, to cap off a brilliant individual performance.

Ghana will take on Ethiopia in the next stage of the qualifiers.
